Sardy House – Fractional Property, 2006
Sold for 16.25 Million.
Interior Design Scope: 12,000 square foot property encompassing a 7 Bedroom Main Residence, 7 Bedroom Carriage House, Outdoor Pool and Garden.
Design Concept: An Aspen historical landmark built in the late 1800s, Robyn Scott Interiors, Ltd. was contracted to re-invent a new interior concept bringing modern design and historical Victorian detailing together as a world-class ski resort property. A well-known landmark in the Aspen Historic District, the Sardy House was renovated to bring it out of its heavy, dark Victorian interiors. Contemporary art and furnishings were mixed in with traditional pieces, but the original bones and molding details retained. The result was a brighter, fresher look, with updated appliances and utilities. The combination of modern art by local artists, classic modern furnishings, contemporary lighting, and the existing antiques created a successful eclectic look. The seven-room Bed & Breakfast was updated with fresh bedding, carpeting, artwork, audio video and furnishings. A state of the art Kitchen, Updated Lighting, Art Program, and Theatre Room were executed.
